Is it required?
It depends on your building permit and whether the land is designated under the Building Regulations. A Wyndham property information certificate shows it.
At slab
Collars on plumbing penetrations go on before the pour. We have recorded them missing on a Mambourin slab.
At frame
Physical barriers under external walls are visible at frame. A Mambourin frame had none at inspection.
The notice
A durable notice in the meter box records the system. Missing notices have come up at slab and at resale.
After you move in
Keep garden beds clear of the slab edge and book regular timber pest inspections.
